Victor Currie’s directing and producing work has taken him around the globe, and also spanned most forms of modern media.
As a producer, Currie has overseen projects for Fox Television Studios, A&E Networks, satellite broadcasters, syndicators, and more. He has directed award-winning commercials in both the USA and Europe, multi-camera live and live-to-tape broadcasts, and corporate marketing media. He has anchored and hosted both live and taped broadcasts, hosted a weekly live radio call-in show in Los Angeles, and hosted and reported for both television and radio. He has also consulted in the creation of several satellite and Internet broadcast services.
These days, Currie is even more likely to be found with a still camera around his neck, as he focuses more of his time on commercial, editorial and fine art photography. He also continues to direct commercials and corporate media through his Currie Visual Media.
Along the way, Currie partnered with long-time collaborator Scott Robinson in Robinson Currie Productions. He has been actively involved in the development of film, television, and new media projects, and consults to various companies on marketing and new media. He also partnered with Step Jones in a creative marketing and business development firm, Motivations Media & Marketing, which developed a new automotive venture, XOXO PreOwned, a startup aimed at being the next major national dealership retail chain.
He was previously a founding partner of production company M Creative Group, co-owner of production services provider and post-production house CRT Media/Motion Images Inc., President of Venture Media Productions LLC, owner and President of commercial/corporate production company Broadcorp Productions Inc., as well as Executive Producer and Anchor of the Video Information Network satellite television information service. In a more traditional business role, he also spent two years as Chief Operating Officer of Beverly Hills-based business training and personal development company Life Motivations, Inc.
He is a Broadcast Journalism graduate of the University of Southern California, and also admits to a few years as a Universal Studios tour guide. He lives with his wife Erica Watson-Currie, PhD and son Nick Charles in Newport Beach, California, where he served as the 2008-2009 president of the Rotary Club of Newport-Balboa.
