Victor Currie bio

Victor Currie is a Luxury Realtor® with Douglas Elliman of California, as well as a fine art photographer, after a three decade career leading companies in media production, creative advertising, and marketing.

"The skill set required to succeed in high end real estate and television production are remarkable similar. Both require creativity, passion for making sure the project works, the ability to negotiate multi-million dollar deals, and most importantly the enjoyment of working with other people to make sure everything comes together."

A lifelong resident of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, Victor Currie is intimately familiar with communities across the Southland, including Newport Beach, Orange, South Coast Metro, Beverly Hills, Glendale, Burbank, Studio City, Encino, Calabasas, West Hills, Woodland Hills, Thousand Oaks, the South Bay, West Los Angeles, San Clemente, and more. Rather than focus on a single geographic area, Victor helps buyers, sellers, and investors throughout the Southland. His deep knowledge of the entire region allows him to often match clients with out-of-the-box solutions to their home searches. He served as president of the Rotary Club of Newport-Balboa in Newport Beach and was previously a member of the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills.

Victor brings to real estate over 30 years of marketing and media experience as a producer, director, and creative director of television programs, commercials, and Internet media, host of business and technology television broadcasts, and as owner/partner in multiple companies providing marketing and media production services to major regional and national companies. When he transitioned from real estate investor to Realtor®, he found that the skills from his previous businesses translated perfectly: Negotiating complex high-pressure large-money deals, designing award-winning creative marketing campaigns, and getting all the players involved to work together as a team to reach the common goal of a successful transaction (plus having been a VIP Tour Guide at Universal Studios in his younger days, he gives a great home tour).

As a producer, Victor Currie oversaw projects for Fox Television Studios, A&E Networks, satellite broadcasters, syndicators, and more. He has directed award-winning commercials in both the USA and Europe, multi-camera broadcasts, and corporate marketing media. He has anchored and hosted both live and taped broadcasts, hosted a weekly live radio call-in show in Los Angeles, and reported for both television and radio. He has also consulted in the creation of several satellite and Internet broadcast services.

These days, Currie is often found with a still camera around his neck, as he keeps his hand in creative media with an expanding portfolio of art and street photography.

Along the way, Currie partnered with long-time collaborator Scott Robinson in Robinson Currie Productions where he was actively involved in the development of film, television, and new media projects, and consulted to various companies on marketing and media. He also partnered with former automotive retail executive Step Jones in a creative marketing and business development firm, Motivations Media & Marketing.

He was previously a founding partner of production company M Creative Group, co-owner of production services provider and post-production house CRT Media/Motion Images Inc., President of Venture Media Productions LLC, owner and President of commercial/corporate production company Broadcorp Productions Inc., as well as Executive Producer and Anchor of the Video Information Network satellite business television information service, and it's Internet offshoot eLearnTV. In a more traditional business role, he also spent two years as Chief Operating Officer of Beverly Hills-based business success training and personal development company Life Motivations, Inc.

He is a Broadcast Journalism graduate of the University of Southern California. He lives with his wife Erica Watson-Currie, PhD and son Nick Charles in Orange County, California.
